The Community Cafe
Every Tuesday 9am - 12 noon
The Welwyn Community Café is a joint venture between the Parish Council and St Mary’s and aims to provide a weekly congenial meeting place for everyone in the local area.
It is held in St Mary's New Church House every Tuesday from 9am-12noon and is intended to be a friendly meeting place for residents of Welwyn, Digswell, Oaklands and Mardley Heath and the surrounding area.
The café is entirely run by volunteers and provides tea and coffee and light refreshments. Seating and tables are provided in the main hall and also a comfy lounge area for mothers with small children.
The local community police are regular visitors, available for a quiet chat if you have any policing concerns and there are plans to make other information services available in the near future.
We want to contact new friends, who would like to come, but need transport and perhaps other assistance to reach the café.
If this sounds like you, please contact 01438 715806 for further information.
Fairtrade stall and refreshments - St Mary's Church
Every Saturday morning from 10am - 11:30am
Between 10am and 11:30am, St Mary's is open for refreshments and for the sale of a wide range of fairtrade groceries.
Bigger sales are also held throughout the year selling non-food fair-trade items (these are advertised in the pew sheet) and people can also make personal orders from the Traidcraft catalogue.
