We are enthusiastic to maintain St. Mary’s Church as a place to worship God. We have plans to develop and grow mission. We strive to be a place of welcome and friendship. But to do these things we need people to take responsibility for specific tasks, to help, to encourage and to use their talents to enthuse others.
Here is a list of those areas where help is needed. If you would like to discuss any of these, please initially contact firstname.lastname@example.org .
General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
To assist in understanding the new regulations which become law on May 25th 2018 and their implications for the Parish
St. Mary’s Church Heating System
To assist in monitoring, online, the church heating system
General Areas where further help is nearly always needed and appreciated
Volunteers for the church cleaning rota (a once-a-year commitment normally with one other person)
Offers to read the lesson occasionally at the Services in St. Mary's
Volunteers to help on a Sunday morning with our Activity Based Church (ABC) that meets during the 9.30am service. The age-range is from crèche upwards – maybe you have a special affinity with a particular age group?
We serve refreshments after the 9.30 service on a Sunday and need people to assist in preparing coffee and tea – would you be able to prepare these refreshments once a month?
We run a ‘Craftea - after school group’ where we provide a cooked tea and activities on a monthly basis – can you help on a Monday afternoon for an hour or so?
Please email email@example.com if you would like to explore any of these activities – and thank you for thinking about the role you might take on.
