GIVING

St Mary’s church has been a place of worship for over 1,500 years.  This beautiful building and its sympathetic addition, Church House, belong to us all. The care, fellowship, community groups, and worship are possible because the buildings are there.

There are no entry charges.  All are more than welcome.  The church and its clergy receive no direct funding from Government or The Church of England.  We are dependent on the generosity of individuals to meet the costs and support the work. You can find out how to support us here

You can find out about volunteering your time or expertise to help out at St Mary's here

As well as supporting local people, it is also our duty and our joy to support those in this country and overseas who are so much less fortunate.  We raise funds for this though special appeals, and aim to raise a further 15% or more for other charities.

Our forebears built and sustained St Mary’s over many centuries: now it is our turn to shoulder the responsibility.  St Mary’s and its work cannot survive without your gifts.  Whether you are a regular, or not so regular member of the congregation, or simply live in the village and appreciate the church being a focal point of the village, whatever you can contribute is most welcome be it in committing your time or your money or both.

"What I can I give him, give my heart."
