WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe and trust in God the Father, source of all being and life, the one for whom we exist
This means that we believe that despite all the suffering in the world God made the universe and every person in it.
God loves everything and everyone.
We believe and trust in God the Son, who took out human nature, died for us and rose again
This means that Jesus came into the world to tell us more about the love of God and to enable us to have a personal relationship with Him. Although Jesus was killed, God raised Him from the dead.
We believe and trust in God the Holy Spirit, who gives life to the people of God, and makes Christ known in the world
This means that we believe that the Holy Spirit of God is still active in the world and in the lives of individual Christians. God’s Holy Spirit guides and strengthens Christians as we try to live out our life of faith.
We know that there are always lots of questions about faith and we try not to shy away from them. We don’t always have the answers but we're always ready to explore more!
And we have a cunning plan....
Mission Action Plan
Every parish in the Diocese of St Albans produces a Mission Action Plan (MAP): a document which describes how the parish is planning to develop and grow. The plan is a result of praying, reflection and discussion with the PCC, the congregation and church members. Our aim is to consider how we can be Living God's Love more effectively, faithfully and joyfully. More information on Diocesan Mission Action Planning can be found here
Our MAP vision
An overflowing church, a 'humming hub' engaged in loving service to the whole community, enabling people to connect or re-connect with the good news of God in Jesus Christ in a way which is:
-
Active
-
Welcoming
-
Spiritual
-
Inclusive
-
Accessible.
