SERVICES

We use Common Worship for our Holy Communion services and our regular pattern of worship on Sundays include the following.  The pattern usually varies during the school summer holidays, so please check for details of this week's services on the right hand side of the Home page.

 

Sundays

 

8.00 am:  Holy Communion

 

This is a quiet service with a sermon but no music and usually finishes at 8.40 am followed by coffee at The Wellington.

 

9.30 am:  Parish Communion

 

A sung communion service at which everyone is welcome, with robed clergy, altar party and choir.  Crèche and Junior Church meet in Church House during the service (except 1st Sunday) joining their families just before Communion.  Everyone is welcome to stay for coffee and chat in Church House at approximately 10.40 am when the service finishes.

 

6.30 pm:  Choral Evensong (not currently due to Covid-19)

Sung evensong with a full robed choir (as you would hear in a Cathedral).  Usually on the 2nd Sunday.

6.30 pm:  Evensong (currently no singing due to Covid-19)

Sung evensong with a small robed choir on 4th and 5th Sundays.

Mondays

3.45 pm:  Craftea (messy church - every other Monday)

Wednesdays

9.30 am:  Holy Communion

A said service without sermon is held in the St Nicholas Chapel (within the church) and is followed by coffee in Church House at approximately 10 am.

2.00 pm:  Pram service (1st and 3rd Wednesdays)

Prayer

 

Morning and evening prayer is usually said according to the following pattern rotating around the six team churches.  You are very welcome.

 

Monday:                                                        5.00 pm at Tewin

Tuesday:         8.30 am at St Giles            

Wednesday:   9.00 am at St Mary's             

Thursday:                                                     5.00 pm at Datchworth

Friday:            9.30 am at Woolmer Green  

Saturday:       9.00 am St Mary's
